Biography

Giuseppe Filippini was born September 25 1984 in Naples, a city that today is one of the focal points of his life. Graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, approaches to photography during a college course on the subject, considering the photos that message is the medium of contemporary society, pure testimony of our time. What characterizes it, since its first picture taken from Castel dell 'Ovo, is a meticulous (and almost spasmodic) attention to the observation of life and the everyday moments, especially those related to its land of origin. In 2002 he took part in the competition "Flavio Gioia" with an exhibition of historical arsenals of Amalfi, and in 2005 finished fourth at the first "Show Extemporaneous Painting" held at the Villa Comunale of Naples. Inspired by Robert Doisneau, looking through his photos to represent the company and the environment surrounding him through a look realistic and sincere, not without, in some cases a key sarcastic and humorous. His 2007 was characterized by a fourth to the sixteenth edition of the national award "Megaris" in the painting section, held at the Castle of the Egg of Naples, and exposure "Freely in Art". Both in his photos in his paintings, Giuseppe Filippini tip straight on his belief in the value of documents and knowledge that these works can (and indeed should) have. A spectator curious, motivated, happy and attentive of everyday life and reality. No coincidence that his favorite shots are those relating to on trips to Italy and Europe, because through these photograph, the artist tries to make known to others his perspective, his beliefs and his point of view on places in question. Passionate about cooking, delights in offering tasty creations, how can witness all the people who have tasted. In 2012 he won the competition "The paths of the Gods", organized by the Municipality of Agerola, with a shot that depicts a sunset taken from a promontory agerolese, signifying the end but at the same rebirth of an area that enjoys an objective beauty probably untapped in full but which is still there, ready to be used to the fullest. The sunset as a meeting point between the end of the day and the beginning of the night, and the whole point of all, the peace and at the same time of chaos. A sunset as a metaphor for reality Naples and Campania.
